Shambhala Stockholm presents
Learning to communicate non-defensively
with John Seex
9th of March
Many of the problems in communication and relationships arise because we are too scared to say what we really think. We doubt our truth is acceptable, valid or indeed intelligent. I would like to explore with you a way of trying to open up a way of communication which is non-defensive, honours your moment by moment truth and increases the chances that you will be heard. Lastly we will look at how this operates in groups and explore ways of trying to create a more open inclusive and permissive culture of group communication.
This is a one day communication workshop to explore how we communicate with others: what do we want to communicate and what blocks the process of speaking our truth and being understood. We will explore the ideas of inner process,(introspection and interception) telling our microscopic truth, blocks to being open, being vulnerable and looking at how to develop a more open group culture.
The workshop is inspired by the approaches of Shamatha/Vipashana meditation, Gestalt, Intersubjective Systems Theory and Non-violent Communication and will be a mixture of experiential exercises, short talks and exploratory dialogue.
On Sunday the 10th of March its possible to continue the workshop with the topic:
Opening to Conflict and Difference in Relationship
