Everyone experiences fear.  It is a natural and unavoidable part of life. In this on-line program during five sunday evenings we explore how it is possible to relate to fear.

Everyone experiences fear.  It is a natural and unavoidable part of life.  Whether we are rich or poor, successful or otherwise, our lives present many challenges.  The world we live in is going through great difficulties, with dangerous possibilities arising unpredictably.  This creates the outer causes of fear, but there are also many inner sources of fear that we all experience.

Sometimes fear is useful, but often it is not.  It can hold us back, inhibit us and cause us much worry and anxiety. Trying to ignore, deny or run from our fear does not help.  The best way to relate to fear is to face it and accept it with courage and gentleness.  This is how to smile at fear, the approach of warriorship presented by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and the Shambhala teachings.

This 5 part course will include meditation instruction and practice, with a talk each week followed by discussion and small group work where everyone will have an opportunity to contribute their own experience and understanding.
